Topic #1: Blue and Black or White and Gold?
If the color of the dress is either black and blue, or white and gold, does it really matter? In different images, in different positions, in different lightnings, the image can look different. In one of Buzzfeed's survey 32% of people saw the image as blue and black, 68% of people saw it as gold and white. But who really cares about the dress? Why are we making such a big fuss about it? The dress's company even sold 300 dresses in 30 minutes on Friday morning. I understand how the image can bring out the curiosity in us, but why make a simple dress so popular when there are more important things to worry about? What about ending world hunger? What about world peace? What about Trayvon Martin's 3 year death anniversary? There are other more important things going on in the world that we should focus our attention on, and all we cared about on February 26th was about a stupid dress's color? We have become so easily amused, and waste our time, day to day on trivial matters that are worthless. How indifferent have we become to the things around us that we focus all our attention on a simple dresses color? What has our society come to? At the end of the day, the dresses color will forever be black and blue, but will that stop our indifference?
